Summer Baseball Madness

This past summer, Rachel Y. ("Bug") and I got the chance to go to quite a few baseball games at Yankee stadium. She knows the 3rd base coach of the Orioles, and we got free tickets to their games vs. the yankees. Even though I am from NY, I am really sick of the yankees winning, so I was completely happy to wear orange and cheer for the Orioles. I think that was pretty gutsy figuring that Yankees fans are some of the most crazy and bizarre folks in the world. We're lucky we didn't get pummeled! Anyhow, here's a pic of the field:

So, today was a success overall. I made it through and it's only 8pm. I really think I'll be able to get 8 hours of sleep. Whee! I had a masterclass tonight, and made it through Oh Had I Jubal's Lyre, and Caro Nome (my dream aria!). Of course there is always room for improvement, and I intend to make Care Nome absolutely fantabulous. In the meanwhile, I still have to learn that Bach and Threepenny by Friday. Eek.

Another note: I think I've become slightly addicted to caffiene. All those Copper Cup stops have gotten me addicted (not to mention that fantastic pumpkin spice coffee mom sent. thanks!). I haven't had coffee for the past 4 or 5 days, and have had 2 headaches since. Either I stay away, or try an every other day routine...oh, Copper Cup is just soo yummy!
